When your grandparents and parents die you realise
how little you know of their lives before you were
born. This prompted the author to write about her own
life for her grandchildren, who will probably end up
living in different parts of the world in vastly different
circumstances.
She has chosen the latter part of her life to write about,
which turned out to be a little unusual. Running a guest
farm, delving into third world development, discovering
a new country and language, yoga and painting meant
life was always interesting.
The most important aspect of all has been relationships
with family and many diverse friends along the way.
