Rev. Xolile Joseph Kosi is a pastor, theological scholar, and writer from South Africa, serving the Word of God Bible Church in Richwood, Cape Town, with over three decades of ministry.

Rev. Xolile Joseph Kosi is a dedicated believer, accomplished theological scholar, writer, and thoughtful commentator whose work centres on Christian living and faith within the complex and challenging landscape of South Africa and the African continent. His commitment to an actively lived faith is profoundly shaped by the legacy of his late father, a devoted lay preacher in the Methodist Church.

His personal faith journey began in 1985 when he committed his life to the Lord at a Student Christian Movement camp. He immediately immersed himself in active ministry, spending a year with the Youth Harvest music and drama team, which opened doors for ministry across the United States of America and Canada.

Having served as a pastor since 1994, Rev. Kosi holds formal theological qualifications from the Evangelical Bible Seminary of Southern Africa, the University of Natal (Pietermaritzburg Campus), and an Honours degree from the University of Port Elizabeth. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies in the Department of Religion and Theology at the University of the Western Cape, where his research examines Xhosa male circumcision as both sacred rite and social debate within the 21st-century South African context.

Motivated by the urgent need for spiritual resilience, he authored Faith Beyond the Odds as an earnest encouragement to fellow believers navigating economic uncertainty, social dislocation, and moral confusion. Rev. Kosi serves as Pastor of the Word of God Bible Church in Richwood, Cape Town. He resides with his wife, Dr Thembisa Selda Nosimo Kosi, and their sons, Simlindile Shalom Lizwi and Simthembile Joy, whose  prayers remain his enduring strength.
