The sad loss of the film maker Warren Batchelor and actor Jamie Bartlett who was to play the role of the priest brought it to a standstill, just as all seemed lost Lucia Van Der Post, the daughter of Sir Laurens Van Der Post gave it a sterling review in the London daily Mail and an amended edited version was launched in the USA. It remains the swansong of Shiloh’s writing career, some say an African epic that needs to go global.
