Naulene assists authors and artists to self publish their work.  Specializing in the co-ordination of South African book runs for overseas authors; creative direction for professional book covers and project management to get a book from concept to creation to published.

With experience in Fine Art Photography and Printing, I’ve also worked as a repro-designer in the magazine industry and then freelanced as production co-ordinator in the world of Cape-made films, ads and catalogues. In 2014, I started making artist portfolios, retreat booklets and then coffee table books (winner of the Independent Publishers Award 2018 Best Art Book and Best Overall Book).  I now offer proof reading, photo editing and original illustration management, structural editing and consultations to anyone looking to take their work to the output of eBook, print and print on demand, in commercial or private commission assignments.

I labour digging creatively for South African ‘gold’.  Our remarkable stories and convoluted factual history has so many diversions and unexpected twists, layer upon layer in a country that cradles the development of mankind.  The many chapters and transitions are so relative to the human paradox that surely our national literary output delivers above the weight of the negatives to inspire and influence and hark to a brighter future for all.  Diversity and commonality bringing richness to our seams running below our shared surface kilometers.  Publishing books is my personal inflection point.  Previous barriers to creating books are currently much lower, and I help individuals learn and walk the path to author and communicate ideas, truths and interests and passions.

Hybrid technology has freed the book.

It is all about words, images, thoughts and feelings emerging from the connection between the writer’s output and the reader’s mind.  Therein a fertile and vaster reality grows.  Thereout, our world evolves in an exciting, informed, uplifting and positive reality.
